This policy applies to the JAC Exam Prep website (JAC.jharkhandexamprep.com) and the JAC Exam Prep Android app (together, the Service), run by Sarkari Diary. It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect on the website
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or address to read the site. When you visit, our servers and our partners may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent and the page you came from. We use this to keep the site working, to understand which content is useful, and to prevent abuse. If you write to us by email, we keep your message and address only to reply to you.
MCQ lists and questions are loaded from our website, jac.jharkhandexamprep.com (the website can see your IP address). A few recently opened MCQ pages are kept on your phone so they open without internet.
What we collect in the app
The app has no sign-up and does not ask for personal details. It does not read your contacts, messages, photos, location or microphone. Downloaded PDFs and your settings (language, bookmarks, last page) stay on your phone. The app fetches the list of study material and results from our website and from Google Drive.
Cookies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies. They remember basic preferences, help the site load and measure traffic, and let our advertising partners show and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, but some features and ads may behave differently.
Advertising
The website shows ads through Google AdSense and the app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use cookies or an advertising ID to show ads, including personalised ads, and to limit how often you see them. We do not receive your personal information from these systems.
You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and on Android in Settings > Google > Ads.

Analytics
We may use Google Site Kit and Google Analytics on the website to see aggregate traffic such as visits, popular pages and countries. This data is not used to identify you.
Study material and results
PDFs are hosted on Google Drive and the website. Opening or downloading them may send standard technical data to Google, under Google’s own privacy policy. Result information in the app and on the website is collected from official sources and shared for convenience only.
Links to other services
The Service links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, Google Play, Google Drive, our other websites and official board websites. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before sharing any information.
Data security
We use reasonable measures to protect the site and the little data we hold. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
The Service is meant for students and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can clear cookies, opt out of personalised ads, uninstall the app to remove all app data, or ask us to delete any email correspondence you have sent us.
Not an official website
We are not affiliated with the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), NCERT, the Government of Jharkhand or any government body. Official information is available only on their own websites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
